carlos pena just hit another home run, this one off of clay bucholz. changeup, up and away, yanked off to right field. i’m taking this as proof that i’m right about everything. however, is there reason to be concerned that pena’s recent power has all come off of changeups away that he can turn on? is that something to base one’s power on?

second update – pena hit two homers last night, breaking out of his slump with a charge. both home runs were off of off-speed pitches on the outer half of the plate that he was able to extend and turn on.

1) Lee shouldn’t be gone long.
2) Kershaw’s line tonight. Only 3 ER (not bad) but only 4.2 IP (bad). 5 hits and SIX walks…SIX! with just 4 k’s (although i guess that isn’t bad in 4.2 IP). So…ERA=5.79 and WHIP=2.36. Not gonna calculate SLGa but he did give up a HR. Just saying…
